Lord of the Rings Sauron Ringbearer Bust

This bust was unveiled at San Diego this year from Gentle Giant. It looked amazing, I must say. The Sauron bust will stand 11 1/2″ tall and retail for $60. It is scheduled for release in May 2008.

Lord of the Rings Snaga Ringbearer Bust

Snaga, a scout in the band of Orcs that captured Merry and Pippen at Amon Hen, was the only surviving subordinate of Shagrat after the battle in the tower of Cirith Ungol. Scheduled for release in May 2008.

Star Wars Animated Emperor Maquette

Finishing up Gentle Giant’s list of Star Wars items for next summer is the Animated Palpatine maquette.  It retails for $80 and is scheduled for release in May 2008. Here is the image.

Star Wars Count Dooku and Asajj Ventress Statue

Gentle Giant continues their list of announcements for next summer with this statue of Count Dooku and Asajj Ventress. It is based on a recent Star Wars Insider covers and will retail for $230. Release is scheduled for May 2008. Here is the image below.

Premier Guild Exclusive Harry Potter Mini Statue

Gentle Giant just sent out an e-mail and posted on their blog for premiere guild members a special offering. It is a mini statue of Harry Potter from the Tri-Wizard tournament. The statue is limited to 1500 worldwide but only 500 of those are available to premiere guild members. Click here to order. You must be logged in to your account for the link to work. Star Wars Aayla Secura Mini Bust

We have just gotten several new solicitations from Gentle Giant. Hot on the trail of Shaak Ti, we have another silhouette. This time its super hot blue Jedi chick Aayla Secura in a 1/6th scale mini bust from Gentle Giant. All we have currently is a silhouette, but that will have to be enough. I would suggest getting your pre-orders in now. Aayla Secura is scheduled for release in May 2008. Update: Gentle Giant just updated their blog with the image.

Star Wars Shaak Ti Mini Bust

Star Wars Jawas Mini Bust 2 Pack

Gentle Giant finally updated their blog last night to let us know that the Jawa Mini Bust 2 pack will be shipping to retailers and distributors this week, which means we should be seeing it at retail in the next few weeks. You can get the Jawa busts on eBay now.

The Jawas come in a limited edition of 7000 and stand 4.75 inches tall in 1/6 scale. The Jawas will be sold as a 2-pack and one comes with interchangeable arms/guns. Both busts feature light-up eyes. Click on the thumbnail below for the image.

Wizard Exclusive Light-Up Spirit of Obi-Wan Kenobi Bust

Here is another exclusive Star Wars bust for Gentle Giant fans. Seriously, they have done so many of these this year, I have given up keeping track of them. This time it is a light-up version of Obi-Wan Kenobi exclusive to Wizard. It is limited to 2,000 and goes on sale October 11th for $59.99. According to Wizard, it is due to ship in late October.

This bust looks to be exactly the same sculpt as the Obi-Wan that was released earlier this year. It is made of translucent material and lights up the same way that the light up Yoda bust does that was exclusive to Celebration IV. It doesn’t seem that fans are falling over themselves to get the light up busts. Yoda wasn’t hard to get, and it doesn’t look like Obi-Wan will be either.

Luke Skywalker X-Wing Pilot LEGO Maquette

The Luke Skywalker X-Wing Pilot LEGO Maquette is now up for sale on ToysRUs.com for $69.99. I haven’t yet heard whether or not this is a limited edition. It was offered previously bundled with the Lego X-Wing set. This is the first time it is available by itself.

The release date is 10/28/07, and there are no pictures on the listing as of this posting. The Luke Skywalker Maquette is the fourth in the new series of limited edition LEGO Star Wars maquettes. The maquette measures approximately 6 inches tall. The head is removable and can be used on the other maquettes.

Update – 10/15/07: This is no longer available on Toys R Us’s web site, but they have posted images of this you can see below. However, there are a lot of Luke maquettes up on eBay right now. You can also find the other Lego maquettes on eBay here.
