Gentle Giant Gets the Indiana Jones License!

Well, you can bank on this news now that I have enough info to officially release this here. Gentle Giant has a license to produce collectibles for the Indiana Jones franchise. No pictures yet, but word on the street that on display in San Diego is a statue of Indiana riding a horse and a bronze bust of Indiana. There is also supposed to be another statue of Indiana riding a motorcycle, but it isn’t on display yet. As soon as good pics come out, I will link to them here. Here is a link to a good pic of the horse statue and bronze bust. Update: below is a link to the Indiana Jones with motorcycle unpainted prototype statue. It seems Lucasfilm was out shopping around the license for Indiana Jones because of all the companies announcing that they have licensing deals this year at San Diego Comic Con. Star Wars has a historic licensing deal, but toys and other merchandise from Indiana Jones have never been plentiful, until now that is.

So far, Hasbro, Sideshow and Gentle Giant all have announced their Indiana Jones licensing deals. With a new movie coming out, I’m sure there will be more to come. It is a great time for collectors. We will be drooling over these products for the next few years to come!
